Bio

I am a British expressionist painter, techno producer, and lawyer of Trinidadian heritage, currently navigating life between Tokyo and London. My art confronts the cultural disconnection I feel within these worlds, with each brushstroke fueled by visceral intensity inspired by expressionists like Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Emil Nolde.

Employing unconventional materials, including human hair and discarded photographs, I challenge traditional notions of painting. Influenced by Japanese pop art, I aim to stimulate complex dialogues and provoke reflections on identity and alienation. My work often serves as a visceral gut-punch, inviting viewers to confront their emotional landscapes and life's fragility.

I hold a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford and am currently pursuing an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art.
